Tomorrow is my last day of school for me, and the only reason why I'm going is because I gotta get art stuff to start me up for the body of work. Damn I wish I didn't have to go tomorrow, but on the brighter side, on Wednesday I'm going to Jamberoo! (Woop Woop)

Oh yeah, it was also my 17th birthday last week, gotta get used to saying my age is 17 now. I'm so glad that schools over though, I have 6 weeks of holidays to relax, have fun and on the downside, study a bit too ! But it'll all be worth it because next year is officially my last year of high school! Only 3 more terms to go. I've already done assignments/assessments for 5/6 subjects I'm doing, and guess who got first in math? Aww yeah, it was me (Not like anyone would care because I doubt anyone reads this... haha). But even if I'm bragging on about that to no one, I'm still proud of my mark! My aim for year 12 is to get first in course in math and catholic studies, so far so good, (well only for math that is, haven't done a catholic studies task yet). Also, in English I got 4/5 for my speech (actually 12/15 but scaled to 4/5 which sounds better anyway), and that mark I'm pretty happy of too. Apparently the whole of advanced english went really bad in the essay for the task too (oops). Oh well, anyway, enough writing for me, I'm not much of a blogger anyway, I never know what to say.

So, I was just about to watch some episodes of the show "Happy Endings" which I was recently getting into, but while I was waiting for it to transfer from my Mac to my usb, I decided to look at my bookmarks folder. Usually I book mark a whole bunch of random shit and casually look through them straight away or through time. In my book marks folder was this lovely link: fav.me/d3hn184 . Every single one of those artists in that set are amazing. I just spent the past half an hour or so (delaying my Happy Ending watching time, damn!) copy and pasting all the artists names included in the set into google. From this point, I did some more book marking!

I have 338 bookmarks on my Mac so far, not too bad. Anyway, from doing all this I found one particularly AMAZING artist, iamcaramelaw.com/, who also has a DeviantArt profile, caramelaw.deviantart.com/. My gawd, I wish I was half as talented as her. Her works are so cute, vibrant, colourful and original!

I loved all these artists that I've googled within the past half an hour or so (maybe 45 mins or something... I tend to get carried away), and from this I look at my things and realise that they suck. Well, they don't suck THAT bad I guess, but I do believe I can do better. My works are just so flat! So looks like more reading of articles and gotta make sure my parents get me that Digital Arts subscription for my birthday! (Which is in 18 days, wooo!).

Anyway, I'm keen to watch my show now!

I just realised I should really really change my icon...

I've wanted to become a graphic designer for a long time now, it's always been an interest for me and I know I'll love it as a job no matter what. One small problem is, I lost all the small amount of skills that I had before as I haven't been motivated towards it. I know I've said before I'll get back into it and I'm 'renovating', but seriously? Look at me, a year and a half later I decide to update my little journal. My icon is also super ugly, and my name is terrible as well, "Super-Waffles", 14 YEAR OLD JASMINE, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?!?!?!

Well, I'm 16 now on the other hand, turning 17 in 68 days (I think, or maybe its 67, I don't know, all I know is that it was 69 the other day, haha). Anywho, so now I'm more mature, more independent and will hopefully now know what the fuck I'm going to be doing. I hope to pick up skills during the week and a half I have left of these holidays, then start designing random things for people and building a portfolio. I also want to do graphic design for my HSC art major that I need to start thinking of ideas for next term, and my art teachers also think I'm good at lino print so I may take that into consideration as well.

I legitimately cannot believe that I'm in year 12 next term. My last year of schooling, I've worked for 12 years up until this point, now it's my 13th and final year of school study. I'm going to be part of the oldest people in our school. My year at school is also amazing, theres still a few people I dislike for no reason, but oh well, they probably think I'm some weird, quiet person, who's good at drawing and likes to change their hair... A LOT. I recently just bleached my hair and got it toned, and hope to soon put gold or blonde streaks into it. There's a possibility that it won't suit my skin colour, but oh well, only got one life aye? And I've always been living it with darker style hair, and now its time for me to experiment and go lighter.

Hopefully this isn't just going to be one of those once in a while blogs again where I swear I'm gonna start again then come across this a year later only to realise I did shit all in my life about it.
